The Collection, Part 4: DVDs

The legend continues, this time with that almost obsolete physical medium known as digital video discs, or DVDs. Lot of repeat names from the VHS, which was partly planned and partly by accident. The Bruce Lee films came from the Ultimate Bruce Lee Collection I believe, which includes Game of Death (the film Lee was working on when he passed away) and for some reason Game of Death II, which might be the purest form of Brucesploitation there ever was. It's a similar situation to the last Pink Panther movie, where they cobbled together some old footage of poor dead Peter Sellers and tried to pass it off as a legitimate movie. That film, as well as Game of Death I&II, are muddled uninspired wastes of film trying desparately to squeeze a few more dollars out of a passed legend, and aren't worth watching. The three true Lee movies however, kick ass. Definitely worth the time.

The last of the VHS, or at least all of them I could find/felt like posting. The Citizen Kane actually comes from the 50th Anniversary boxset, which is this huge motherfucker that also came with a making-of documentary and a copy of  the original script, which I is very cool, and I think only cost about 5-7 bucks. The Godzilla films were bought all in one go, because that's the only way to experience the King of the Monsters. Don't ask why there are so many children's comedies from the mid 90s, it was a weird time.
