New years, new ideas

Coming up in the recent days/weeks/months is a little series that I'm unofficially calling Reelin' In the Years, where I'll be filling in the gaps in my little tag timeline and thereby covering an entire century of film, from 1920 up to the present day. I don't know if I'll actually manage to finish it by the end of the year or how it'll affect this year's Marathon, but I'm currently in a reviewing mood so why the fuck not?

See you on the other side.

It's been a rough year...

Yes, I'm somehow still alive. And yes, this October you folks at home will be seeing the return of The Long Dark Marathon of the Soul. 31 movies and my candid thoughts on them, no matter how inconsequential they may be. The theme for this year, because we're suddenly doing theme years now, is 'Familiar Faces, Old and New".  You're going to be seeing a lot of names and even some ideas that have popped up in previous Marathons and independent entries, even more so than usual, so hopefully you're into that sort of thing. Anyway, I'm still hard at work finishing up the last of the list, so see you all on October 1st!

Update on Things

Hey everyone. I know there hasn't been a lot in the way of content here for a while, and I apologize for that. Part of it is work-related, part of it has just been that I've just been too down on myself to even want to write anything. As of a couple days ago however I have gotten started on the write ups for the Long Dark Marathon of the Soul 2016, which you will hopefully see in October. Don't know if this means you'll be seeing any content until then or not, but I'm hoping that knocking out a good portion of them now will give me the incentive to continue writing, and give you folks something to enjoy in the interim.

Until next time,

Happy holidays!

/+-*Merry Xmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and all that stuff. You might have expected a seasonally appropriate film write-up around this time, and to be honest, there was one planned. However, after the Halloween marathon, I've been feeling a little burnt out, and busy with other matters and writing projects that take up the majority of my attention. So no real 'present' of sorts, just my gratitude to everyone who has dedicated some of their day to reading my ramblings on the internet. I appreciate it, folks.

Here's to another year! Let's hope it's a good one, without any fear.

Some news

Sorry there isn't much to look at folks. Been working on some stuff, including the Halloween movie list, and so I've been kept from writing standalone articles. I'll try to see if I can find something to post here, just so it doesn't feel so dead.

Till next time, comrades.

Some more news

I've been doing some retrospective write ups on the films I've already done here for the Tricycle Offense. Basically just rewatching my backlog and giving new thoughts and such. Those will be exclusive to the T.O. for the time being; might update the entries here later. So if you're interested in that shit, check it out.

New article coming up in the new future.

Other news

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been busy with other stuff recently that's occupied my time. Plus I think this whole movie blog has been an endeavor in pointlessness and that it has generated exactly zero interest in anything I do. So don't expect any new posts in the immediate future, until I feel that what I'm writing is actually worthwhile.
